The CAMHS Home Treatment Team (HTT) offer a service to young people who are aged 12 -18; and their parents/carers whilst they are in the acute phase of mental illness and present with severe impairment (e.g. not able to leave the house), significant risk (suicidal plans, self-harm, repeated presentation to Emergency Departments) or high complexity (e.g. complex developmental and attachment trauma, high adversity environments, combined high functioning neurodevelopmental disorder and trauma), where a community CAMHS provision would not be sufficient to engage the family and/ or Young Person, contain risk or progress treatment.
